April Wilkner was a contestant on cycle 2 of ANTM in 2004. She was the ninth girl eliminated and placed fourth.
Early Life[]
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, April was a student of the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University, where she graduated with a GPA of 3.95 in Communications, Journalism and Creative Arts. She is Japanese, Irish, Scottish, German and Welsh. She can fluently speak Japanese and French in addition to English.

Throughout the show, April was noted by the judges as having one of the strongest portfolios of all the girls, but criticized for her lack of passion to be model, as well as a tense personality in general. She was told by Tyra she would've got the first call-out in episode five, but had an icy demeanor at the spokesperson judging challenge.
When she got eliminated over Mercedes, she immediately broke down crying.

Post-Show[]
After the show, April signed to NY Models Management, then Race Models and Wilhelmina Models in New York. She also signed to Starz People LTd. in Hong Kong. She was in the magazines Stuff, TD Ink, MAMi, Cover, Radar, Marie Claire, Women's Health, Cosmopolitan, and Whole Living. She modeled for Rejuva Minerals in 2013.[1][2] She is still taking tests as of 2021.

She is a co-host with Mercedes on the YouTube talk show "Throwback Thursday Time". In February 2021, the two were interviewed by Oliver Twixt. There, she revealed that she found Yoanna as "two-faced", and that some of her comments hurt her feelings. She also said that she was quite close to one of the directors, and one time they went up to her and admitted "we can't find a storyline for you, help me out", that's when they decided to make her the business girl.

- April, Sara and Jenascia are the first Asian Top Model contestants.
- April revealed in the Next Top Best Friend podcast that she was asked to be on All-Stars, but declined. She also says she and Mercedes remain good friends fifteen years later.[3]
