Atlanta's Next Top Model

Atlanta's Next Top Model (made-up) is an international version of the original show, America’s Next Top Model. (The country based on is the fictional island of Atlanta, off the coast of Canada.) Female model hopefuls vie to become the fashion industry's next top model after going through an alleged boot camp of challenges, tests, and lessons related to the world of modeling. The show hopes to skyrocket each season (a.k.a. cycle)'s winner's career in the industry. The current host is Sophie Q (fictional), who is a top model herself from Atlanta, born in Canada. Alongside Sophie Q, 3 other "permanent" judges (and occasional "guest" judges) aid her in determining the weekly eliminee(s) and eventually the winner. The current roster of judges include Jo (fashion designer), Taylor Vanderburgliesse (fashion photojournalist), and Margaret Stern-Stowry (creative director and previously the editor-in-chief of Lacey Magazine). Past permanent judges include Lauren Lee Claire (editor-in-chief), and Augustus Greene (runway coach and media personality).

Format

Contestants who are eligible to audition for the competition must be at least 5'7", and 16 to 27 years of age. Each cycle there will be an international destination to test the remaining top 6 (usually) contestants with their international modeling capabilities and potential.

From Cycle 2 onwards, there has been a live finale, which features the final 2 contestants as they battle it out one last time before finding out who ultimately wins the competition. Prior to the finale, the models will go on go-sees (sometimes at Fashion Week) themselves to determine their final catwalks that they will walk to be judged on before announcing who will become AtNTM. A finalist may book all jobs or no jobs - it is up to them. Finally, the public's votes before and during the live finale will be tallied up. It will be added to the judges' final decisions as to determining who will be crowned Atlanta's Next Top Model.

Changes Starting Cycle 4

Prize changes are in effect once again starting Cycle 4. The winner will receive management and representation by IMG Models instead. They will receive the usual $100000 contract with Revlon Cosmetics. Also, they will be on the cover and in a six-page spread in Elle Magazine. In addition, they will also get a chance to go to Paris, France to meet with leading casting agents. Finally, they will win a new Honda Accord. From Cycles 1 - 2, the winner received management and representation by Elite Model Management, a Sephora cosmetics campaign worth $100000, and finally a cover and six-page spread within Cosmopolitan magazine. In Cycle 3, the winner received management and representation by Elite Model Management, a $100000 contract with Revlon Cosmetics, a cover and 4-page spread in Elle Magazine, the chance to be the spokesperson and appear in a national ad campaign and commercial for H&M, and also a sexy new Nissan Maxima!

In addition to prize changes, eligibility requirements also differ. The minimum age requirement lowered from 18 to 16 years old. There is also an indication in the application form that contestants must weigh at least 105 pounds to promote healthy eating.

There are also going to be two new judges replacing Lauren Lee Claire and Augustus Greene.

Reunion Show

A couple of days after the Cycle 3 finale was held, a reunion episode featuring all the girls (except for some) from Cycles 1-3 were brought to talk about how they were now and what they are doing. You can find a summary of the reunion show at the bottom of the Cycle 3 page.
